My daughter has taken to sleeping in recently.
SHHHHHH! Don’t wake her up!
Where she normally wakes up around 6:45, now it’s 7:25 and there’s been nary a peep from her.
It’s like my own personal quiet time.
I am NOT a morning person. I am SOOOO not a morning person. I take morning as a personal insult. But once I am up, I’m up, so I am actually enjoying this little bit of quiet time before she wakes up.
I get up at 6, so I can shower and get some coffee and get my poop in a group before she wakes up. And occasionally, I will hear her screeching her good mornings (a.k.a. waking up and not happy about it) from in the shower. Way too early. 6:30 early.
But not this past week or two. She’s been sleeping until 7, 7:15, 7:30…
It almost makes me want to reset my alarm and get a little more sleep myself.
Although you know that’s not going to happen. The moment I plan for a little more sleep, she’ll start waking up at 5:45. Just to teach me a lesson.
I have to either get more sleep or read more slowly.
Because I first read, “I get up at 6, so I can shower and get some coffee and get my poop in a group before she wakes up.”
as this:

And I thought to myself, “DUDE. Cinn is now OVERSHARING on the blogs.”
ah ha ha – Kelly that is what I read too – I had to re-read it a couple of times – ah ha ha ha!
Oh and Cinn – you can hate on Pink Floyd I get that but you have to admit that Ben Harper is divine

Sorry Rana, I don’t know who Ben Harper is. (Not really my speed, I think.) But judging from the little video you posted, his music is a fair sight more uplifting than Pink “music-to-slit-your-wrists-by” Floyd!

Ok, I’m not the only one who read about cinn’s poop….whew, my eyes are deceiving me!
Just wait till Z is in her teenage years and you’re trying to wake her up at noon!
Forget the poop. It must be a pleasure to have her sleeping in for you. But just to keep you guessing she will vary the schedule every once in a while to make sure you are never taking her for granted and on schedule.
