Follow along here as we build our 100 Good Wishes Quilt for our daughter!
If you are interested in sending a wish and a quilt square to become part of our girl’s quilt, leave a comment on the 100 Good Wishes Quilt post… and follow the instructions!
(Bear in mind that I am PAINFULLY slow in getting these squares posted… so although I have not posted something yet and you have sent a square to me, we really appreciate your squares and wishes, and I WILL get them posted, I promise! *hangs head in shame…*

#12. Square #12 comes to us from our tween fashion guru, Stinkerbelle’s cousin Autumn!

Always interested in the latest fashion, Autumn picked out an animal print especially for That Baby. You can get the full scoop on Autumn’s square in my post.

#10 and #11. Our tenth and eleventh squares came from Stinkerbelle’s Auntie Sherri, Uncle Mike and cousin Maddie.

Do you sense a nifty theme? I do!
Wishes are yet to come, but they’re always sending wonderful wishes to our girl. In the meantime, here’s the story of what went into choosing these squares for That Baby,

#9. Our ninth square comes to us from our good friend Heather and her family.

Aren’t those giraffes adorable?
Heather is working on The Perfect Wish for Stinkerbelle, and it will be about friends. In the meantime, you can read all about her square here.

#8. Ladybugs!! From the awesome, funny Rana and her husband Yvan the Muffin Man.

And it’s fitting, knowing that Rana is equal parts sweet and sentimental and downright hilarious, that her wish for Stinkerbelle is equal parts heartfelt and fun:
We wish you all the love and happiness in the world.
Remember to always be kind to ladybugs.
You can read more about Rana and her gift on by following this link to the original post.

#7. A bright, sunshiney square of colour from active and aware soon-to-be-Supermom Nicky and her awesome husband JRock.

It comes with a lovely wish:
May your future be full of flight.
and a pretty verse from Kahlil Gibran:
You are the bows from which your children
as living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite,
and He bends you with His might
that His arrows may go swift and far.
You can see the full post on this square here.

#6. A sweet, pretty square from Barb:

And a perfectly fitting wish for any new parent:
“Love is just a word until someone comes along and gives it meaning.”
May you be the meaning of “love” to your family and friends.

#5. A coffee-themed print from Shannon and Dan and their daughter-to-be, also from Ethiopia.

Her wish for Stinkerbelle was fitting:
“Life is not measured by the breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away.”
Shannon’s the one who got us started on this project. Follow the link for the full story.

#3 and #4. Two animal prints (get it?) from our girl’s Auntie Sandy and Uncle Jeff.

Wishes are still to come, but since they are dear friends who share our interests in good wine, good food and good conversation, there will be plenty of opportunity to get them.
To read more, check out the blog entry.

#2. Something cute, kitty-friendly and girly from Auntie Vicki.

This square comes from our good friend Vicki. Her wish for our daughter:
“I wish that you are always surrounded by love, that you live your life to the very fullest and learn from mistakes. Always put your health and happiness first. You are beautiful, and you are loved.
All my love, Vicki”
You can read about Vicki’s first meeting with Her Babyness, and how the square came to be ours, over in the blog entry.

#1. A kimono square from Mom. (Yes, that’s right, my wish is the first one. But it’s appropriate.)
My wish for you, daughter of my dreams, is simple but heartfelt. “Measure your life in love.” And just like on this quilt, remember that when you measure your life, my love will be there to start you off on your journey.
So there you go! First square down, 99 to go!
You can read more about the fabric and see more pictures, if you want.
