I have a cold. A nasty head cold.
I’m well medicated. But sneezing my brains out. Stinkerbelle had it first, of course. And since she couldn’t say “Mother, I believe I have a head cold” to me, I was all OMG WHY ARE YOU SUCH A CRABBY PANTS GET YOUR FINGER OUT OF YOUR NOSE HEY… DO YOU HAVE A COLD?
PARENTING FAIL. So it serves me right.
Anyway I am going to go curl up with some NeoCitran and a movie in which elaborate costumes are worn and people say things like “I am in no humour at present to give consequence to young ladies who are slighted by other men” and, especially for me today, “Nobody can tell what I suffer! — But it is always so. Those who do not complain are never pitied.”
And I may sulk. If it’s not too much of an effort.

And yes, Melissa, in THOSE movies they ALMOST die from triffling colds…have not you seen “Sense and Sensibility” where by a young lady is lovelorn and wanders in the rain through green fields and most certainly comes close to death from a cold!
Wait a minute… are you all plotting my near-death? Well if you do, I’d certainly love for Willoughby/Greg Wise to come by and rescue me in my near-deathness, and then have Col. Brandon/Alan Rickman doting on me afterwards, if that’s okay with you KTHXBAI. (And maybe if you could have Mr. Darcy/Colin Firth stride by periodically, it would do wonders to lift my spirits.)
Damn. Now I have to go watch “Sense and Sensibility” again. O WOE IS ME LIFE IS SO HARD.
