Well, very soon Mystery Baby is not going to be a mystery anymore. We all must get prepared.

So it seemed to be time for a meeting of the Mystery Baby Welcoming Committee to be convened:

Welcoming committee convened

Pooh Bear Picture Frame (Chairman) addresses the group with some opening remarks, while the official representative for Canada, Mr. Polar Bear, looks on:

The group listens attentively to everyone’s presentations:

International groups are well represented —

The Hundred Acre Wood:

Although Eeyore looks concerned about the choice of bedding, everyone is pleased to learn there are several different sets of bedding on the go.

And in conclusion, the committee looks well pleased at the announcement that Mystery Baby is a little girl.

Everyone is pleased.

The next meeting will be held at eleventeen o’clock, to discuss which members will go with Pooh Bear Picture Frame as part of the Special Advance Travelling Welcoming Sub-Committee.

  1. I am totally stalking your blog today…your referral gives me hope that ours will come one day 🙂

I love Mystery Baby Welcome Committee Meeting – you are going to be a fantastic mommy!!!!!!

  2. Speaking of parties, it looks like one has already broken out in the crib!

By the way, big cousin Autumn is absolutely, totally, 100% in love Mystery Baby already. Everytime she passes the picture on the fridge she just wells right up, gives me a hug and gushes, “Oh moooommm, she is so beautiful.”

Maddie just says “Baby, baby, baby.”

Can’t wait to meet her. We are so very happy for you both.

  3. Well, “baby, baby, baby”… that says it all, really.

I am so pleased the cousins approve! One to play with, the other to babysit! Whichever one is which at any given time is fine with me. 🙂

  4. hey it’s Autumn,
your baby is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo adorible!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuttttttttttttttttttteeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. I’m not sure I trust the look of that ducky. He seems to be a wee bit cheeky, if you ask me.

Personally, I think THAT is Eeyore’s concern.

  6. I’ll admit, that was what BDH first thought as well. Mister Ducky is up to NO GOOD.

However, he’s just a lovey blanket, so… he has no arms and legs. Therefore, I feel he’s not that much of a threat. Eeyore could take him.

Also, Eeyore quite obviously would be partial to the Winnie the Pooh bedding, which, alas, is still in the bag.

  7. Well I just got off the phone with Pooh Bear Picture Frame and he said that if I can shrink down to fit in a ziploc bag that I will be able to be a part of the Special Advance Travelling Welcoming Sub-Committee….I am on a serious diet.

  8. This cracks me up!!

What a great welcoming committee. The Urban regions – what a hoot!

Eeyore is definitely pensive about something.

  9. Eeyore DOES look a little freaked. But then, we all know he’s not good with embracing change.

On the other hand, perhaps he is just skeptical about his chances about going along with Pooh Bear Picture Frame on the Special Advance Travelling Welcoming Sub-Committee… Or is it the prospect of sharing a ziploc with Ricki?

  10. Clearly, you are in on it with the duck. NO ONE can doubt the seriousness of Eeyore’s concern. Eeyore is not prone to fear so much as he is melancholy. And that look is NOT melancholy.

Although, it could just be his sudden notice of the duck’s lack of extremities and a new concern that this was going to be happening to him, but I doubt it.

  11. I would strongly recommend NOT sending a member from the Urban Regions as part of the Special Advance Travelling Welcoming Sub-Committee. An international incident involving bludgeoning could result.

  12. Ah yes, very wise, June. Perhaps I will let them hang out in a neighbourhood park all covered with cheese until we get back. I mean, who better?
